Portfolio in Medical Education – CME Session
The Continuing Medical Education (CME) session organized by the Batticaloa Medical Association will focus on the role and importance of portfolios in medical education. A portfolio is an educational tool used to document learning progress, clinical experiences, professional development, and reflective practice among medical students and healthcare professionals.
This session will be delivered by Prof. M. Thirukumar, Professor in Obstetrics & Gynaecology and Consultant Obstetrician and Gynaecologist at Teaching Hospital Batticaloa. held on 19th March 2026. The lecture will explore how portfolios support lifelong learning, competency-based education, reflective practice, and professional growth in modern medical training.
